Summary
Focuses on communications to external customers for the assigned segment/ set of products. Selects appropriate targeted messages and mediums to drive segment specific behavior & collaborate across channel, online and retail. Builds awareness of the Dell portfolio of offerings. Drives revenue into the business while building the internal/external credibility of offerings. Plans develop and implements strategic projects for marketing communications (advertising, activations, promotional programs, etc.) to promote the sales of Dell products. Works with business/ sales to support target-focused segment sales, helping the segment to attain quarterly & annual marketing & sales plans. Aligns all marketing communications to support the Dell brand. Thought leader in shaping and positioning of go-to-market strategies.
Principal Accountabilities
- Plans project schedule and strategies to ensure development, production, and completion of marketing programs.
- Plans, recommends, coordinates, and tracks strategic demand generation programs.
- Develops, analyzes, and recommends evaluation process that identifies strategic advantages, competitive programs, and customer needs.
- Focuses on creating new selling approaches for offerings, as well as, providing easier sales best practices to upsell.
- Provides support for all demand generation programs.
- Determines appropriate vehicle for message and audience (marketing communication piece).
- Manages inputs for the content of communication with Brand, Legal and other stakeholders.
- Provides creative input to an agency for communication development as per agreed strategic directives; aligning to Dell brand and voice guidelines.
- Responsible for agency management including local relationship, planning, and execution.
- Works with creative & media agency or team to set marcom strategy.
- Manages and optimizes the marketing communication budget.
- Develops and/or obtains approvals for marketing campaigns/ programs.
