The objective of the analytics and business intelligence team is to drive sustainable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This involves understanding business problems and opportunities, digging into data to validate hypotheses, building statistical models, and putting in place reports and processes to enable sustainable use of data in decision-making. We are looking for analysts with a passion for data and business to join the team. Responsibilities : Day to day responsibilities may vary, but a large part of the work will consist of: - Understanding business requirements, and translating business problems in a way that they can be addressed using data - Identifying data sources and data sets, and procuring and cleaning data in an appropriate manner - Exploratory data analysis - Model building, including some statistical and machine learning models - Institutionalising analyses by way of building dashboards and reports. Also, maintaining the dashboards and reports so that they add value in a consistent manner - Communicating results of models and analyses in a way that can be easily understood by line managers. - Working with operational and other teams to translate data insights into business outcomes Requirements : - Expert at R - Strong Python and SQL skills - A passion for data, and business - Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills - Common sense, and an appreciation of common logical fallacies - 6 months to 2 years of experience in a data analytics role - Prior experience in logistics based companies an added advantage - Preferably a B.E. or B.Tech. from a premier engineering college.
