2-4 years of experience in Non-life / General Insurance Job Description: - Support with quarterly and annual reserving, including preparation of IFRS17-specific data - Estimation of claims reserves (chain-ladder, expected loss ratio and Bornhuetter-Ferguson methods), consideration of the need for unexpired risk reserves - Developing pricing reviews, estimation of earned premiums, creation of paid and outstanding claims triangles, reconciliation to the financials - Assist with unscheduled ad-hoc requests from the Management or Regulators Skills and Demonstrated Experience: - Experience in reserving projections - Knowledge of ResQ is optional but experience of any non-life modelling tool is appreciated - Good communication skills - both written and spoken English - is mandatory - Experience of working with Generalized Linear Model (GLM) - Proficiency in Excel and experience in one of these programming languages: SQL, R, VBA - IFRS 17 exposure desirable but not critical Additional Information : - Source data consists of standardised registers from underwriting & claims systems and from the accounting system in Excel - Triangles are generated with pivot tables in Excel for most lines of business; on account of volume of data, we use R for Motor and Medical - Claims projections are carried out in ResQ - There will likely be interaction with IT, Finance, Claims and Underwriting teams
