Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Dealer Sales Manager specializing in Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) to lead and drive sales operations at one of our key dealerships. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, fostering strong customer relationships, and effectively managing a high-performing sales team within the HCV sector. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall profitability and viability of the dealership. Candidates who are willing to join within 30 days are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Identifying Sales Goals: Define and establish ambitious yet achievable sales targets and objectives for the dealership, aligning with overall company goals and market potential for HCV.

- Customer Satisfaction: Champion a customer-centric approach within the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and fostering long-term relationships. Monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics.

- Sales Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze sales data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in sales performance. Prepare comprehensive sales reports for management.

- Trains and Supervises Sales Team: Recruit, train, coach, and mentor the dealership sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management skills. Provide ongoing supervision and guidance to ensure optimal performance.

- Maintaining a Productive Sales Team: Foster a positive and productive work environment within the sales team, promoting collaboration, motivation, and a strong sense of ownership. Implement strategies to retain top sales talent.

- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets, increase market share, and maximize profitability for HCV within the designated territory.

- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, fleet operators, and other stakeholders in the HCV market. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities.

- Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast sales volumes and revenue projections for HCV, taking into account market trends, seasonality, and dealership performance.

- Preparation of Dealership Viability: Contribute to the preparation of dealership viability reports, providing insights into sales performance, market opportunities, and recommendations for maximizing profitability and sustainability.

- Inventory Management (Sales Perspective): Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels of HCV models to meet customer demand and sales targets.

- Pricing and Negotiation: Develop pricing strategies and guidelines for the sales team, ensuring competitive pricing while maximizing profitability. Oversee and guide the team in effective negotiation with customers.

- Market Awareness: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, product developments, and industry regulations within the HCV sector.

- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to vehicle sales. Maintain accurate sales records and documentation.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within the dealership (e.g., service, parts, finance) to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales management within the automotive industry, with a significant focus on Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV).

- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in the HCV segment.

- Strong understanding of the HCV market dynamics, customer segments, and competitive landscape.

- Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing sales team.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in sales performance analysis and reporting.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

- Strong customer relationship management skills and a customer-centric approach.

- Experience in sales forecasting and dealership viability assessment.

- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales management tools.

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
