Job Title: Dealer - Derivatives

Direct Reporting: Head - Liquid Alternatives

Location: Mumbai

B. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Responsible for Derivative dealing and overview operations and settlement

C. KEY ACTIVITIES

- Primary Dealer in Alts & PMS division. Equity and derivative dealing experience with knowledge of financial markets, options and dealing through Bloomberg AIM.

- Programming in Python and VBA would be preferable and will be remunerated at a premium.

- Understanding of financial markets, instruments, liquidity flows, Operations, regulations etc.

- Will work with Fund Manager, Quant team, Risk, Compliance and Ops divisions.

- Monitor news and fund flows into stocks and sectors, track option moneyness and derivative expiry cycles.

- Looking for a young dealer eager to learn, embrace new tech trends in the industry and grow with the IDFC's exciting Alternatives business.

Routine:

- Dealing, Risk and Compliance management and reporting, trade and cash management and settlement

- Portfolio updates, Operational, Compliance and Admin support and liaison.

D. DISPLAY: KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Educational Qualifications: B.com or MBA in Finance. Financial Qualification such as MBA in Finance / CFA would be an added advantage.

- Additional Certifications/Trainings (desirable): NISM Series 8 (Derivatives module), NISM S.O.R.M

- Prior Experience: 7-10 yrs. experience in derivative dealing (sell side or buy side)

- Domain Knowledge: Must have knowledge of capital market (Fixed Income / Equity); understanding of difference exchanges, trading platforms, Bloomberg, Option moneyness, etc.

- IT Skills: Excel VBA, Python, Bloomberg AIM, Algo building skills
