It publishes newspapers in 3 Indian languages across 12 Indian States with 65 print Editions with 6.6 crore total readerships. Its flagship brand in Hindi language is Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar in Gujarati language and Divya Marathi is Marathi language newspaper.

In FY 18-19, DB Corp recorded revenue of around USD 350 Million with PAT of around USD 40 Million.

The group employs 2700 journalists throughout the country for its news gathering operations which makes for more than 25% of its total workforce of around 10,000 employees.

DB Corp also has a significant presence in the Radio and Digital Media segment. Our radio brand, 'My FM 94.3', which currently operates from 30 stations in 7 States, is growing rapidly and aggressively. Its digital presence is widespread with 9 portals for rapidly expanding digital audiences and 4 actively downloaded mobile applications.

Job Title: Lead - Strategic Pricing Cell

Responsibilities:

The incumbent is responsible for creating predictive space through extensive pricing yield management and financial data management to help Chief Business Officer to keep control of the product pricing, committed EBITDA and Sales Targets across Categories and Markets Pan India and red flag any deviation to facilitate immediate course correction.

Yield and Pricing Management:

- Work closely with the Pricing Unit and coordinate with Region finance heads and COOs / Business Heads and Corporate accounts team to develop pricing strategies for DB's products, as well as policies and procedures to administer pricing consistently across markets.

- Help in Evaluating and recommending price increases (annually or as needed) to maintain competitive domestic premium levels.

- Responsible for accurate forecasting, sales strategies and trend analysis so that offering and prices are optimally maximized at all times.

- Own and evolve the framework for continuously monitoring prices for horizontal benchmarking thereby enhancing overall value through price correction across all categories in grouped markets.

Own and evolve the framework for logically creating Discounting slabs for standardized discounting operations across all markets and categories.

- Create and run the Schemes as per the pricing strategies and revenue commitment per cycle.

Market monitoring of rates in competition

- Risk Modeling

Financial Modeling and Planning:

- Work on internal budgets and sales targets for sales teams across categories and markets and monitor monthly deviations, highlight red flags for course correction.

- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures

- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

- Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools

- Creating and owning the framework to evaluate various KPIs like - Manpower cost - per person cost & revenue, productivity analysis etc.

Financial Management:

- Periodic reporting of detailed cost - schemes / events and sales analysis with major focus on profitability, KPI metrics and dash boards to CBO.

- Liaise with corporate finance team to have the visibility of overall, AOP, financial strategies, P&L, budgets and forecasts to predict the AOP achievement and highlight red flags for course correction.

- Work with CBO to develop plans for cost control, growth strategies, operations efficiency and cost reductions as appropriate.

We are looking for:

- CPA/CA with 12-15 years of experience in pricing, yield management and financial modeling and financial management

- Highly detail oriented, with exceptionally strong judgment, time management ability and unimpeachable integrity.

- Proven experience in Business & finance management and sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.

- Sound knowledge of financial planning and modeling and exposure to yield and pricing management
