Data Scientist - Online/eCommerce

As a Data Scientist, the main responsibility is to develop the Advanced Analytics initiative focusing on modelling, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

- Driving profitable growth through leveraging data to ensure Business actions.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Proven Statistical Modelling Expert

- Own design & delivery of high end statistical modelling across the business

- Have a deep understanding of various statistical modelling techniques

- Expert in R/Python coding languages

- Ability to independently design, set up and run statistical forecasting models

- Drive the backend setup for forecasting analytics

- Ability to transform high end statistical work into Business actions

- Proven experience in running advanced analytic studies, such as Market Mix Models, Price & Promotion analysis, Clustering analysis, Customer/Store segmentation, etc.

- Introduce new statistical methods to enhance analytical capability in the team and drive performance across the business

- Build capability across the team in statistical & forecasting techniques

- Be the go-to stats expert in the business

- Can set out clear project plans and successfully work to deadlines

- Work closely with data analysts to define data sets required for statistical modelling

- Work closely with BI analysts to deliver results utilizing BI tools, such as Tableau

- Drive Machine Learning capabilities and establish AI into the Company.

KPIs :

- Sales growth target through data-based recommendations that lead to Business actions

- Profit target through data-based recommendations that lead to Business actions.

Work experience requirement :

- Expert in R/Python coding

- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills

- Excellent project management skills

- Can explain high end statistical techniques simply to non-scientific people

- Can work independently; a self-driver

- Confident working with large data sets

- Experienced creating dashboards in Microstrategy / Power BI
