Primary Skills : Programming Language (Any),Advanced Statistical Concepts Secondary Skills : Big Data,Visual Techniques Role Description : - Data science combines domain expertise, programming skills, and knowledge of mathematics and statistics to extract meaningful insights from data. - Data scientists apply machine learning algorithms to numbers, text, images, video, audio, and more to produce artificial intelligence (AI) systems to perform tasks that ordinarily require human intelligence. - In turn, these systems generate insights which analysts and business users can translate into tangible business value. Role Responsibility : - Developing complex mathematical models that integrate business rules and requirements - Creating machine learning models - Communicating and meeting with engineers, IT teams, and other interested parties - Sharing complex ideas verbally and visually in an understandable manner with non-technical stakeholders - Researching solutions to overcome data analytics challenges - Communicate with all the project stakeholders on the project - Working closely with business users during the testing and validating the Model Role Requirement : - Education background in applied mathematics or statistics and Advanced coursework in machine learning and programming - Excellent understanding of statistics, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra - Experience in in different programming languages such as Python, R, Java, Ruby, Pig, SQL expert - Experience in working in one or more industries - Experience with data querying languages, and statistical or mathematical software - Proficient in writing algorithms, and knowing when to apply them - Experience in different visualization techniques, data profiling and data validation - Experience in gathering requirements and documentation processes - Sound aptitude, outstanding logical reasoning, and analytical skills - Willingness to learn and take initiatives - Ability to work with a diverse team and adapt to fast paced Agile environment Additional Requirement : - Have experience with the statistical analysis, predictive modelling, NLP, machine learning, hypothesis testing and good visualization - Experience / working knowledge of Map Reduce solutions (Hadoop, HDFS, Yarn, Mahout, Pig, Hive, Spark) and conceptual modelling to be able to articulate the solution and model - Having a good understanding of design and architecture principles - Being able to work autonomously - Assistance with project planning, estimating, approach definition - Implementing QA and various testing in the project - Mentoring / Training the team in all aspects of knowledge needed for the project - Exposure to other BI tools (Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, BOBJ, Cognos) a plus
