Data Scientist

Objective of the team is to build IPR's in various fields and Industries using :

- Complex algorithms and

- Bring cutting edge research

The firm wants to invest in the future by creating a great team whose work is research and science lead rather than immeadiate client gratification.

The key aspects of this role are :

- Provide thought leadership on improving existing offerings through embedding analytics

- Collaborate with multi disciplinary teams and stakeholders for complete life cycle of idea generation, development to deployment

- Understand the data from various sources and build models that can provide actionable insights

- Should be able to identify the inhibitors to a particular problem and then articulate the research area that doesn't just solve for inhibitors but alters the way things need to be done

- Build business case and get buy in from various stakeholders

- Help in estimating the cost of building production ready solutions

- Study various client processes, metrics and problems to identify key research areas

Person Profile :

- Positions exist across levels- we are okay with candidates from 4 - 20 years of experience

- Analytics researchers with business /operational mindset

- Should have published analytics aided research in reputed journals

- Hand-On manager comfortable also comfortable working alone

- Early adopters of new tools, technologies etc

- Decent understanding of business

- Structured problem solving skills to translate problems into solutions

- Ability to work in fast paced environment

Qualifications :

- Candidates should hold an MTech or MS(with Exp) or Phd in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or related disciplines with an excellent academic record and practical experience with recent advances in mathematical & computational sciences and statistical modeling.

A solid grounding in applied statistics including expertise in at least one of the following is a must :

- Reliability models, Markov Models, Stochastic models, Bayesian modeling, classification models, cluster analysis, time series analysis, forecasting and multivariate statistics

- Should have prior experience in working in research lab

- Experience in building and deploying business relevant analytics assets

- Experience in bringing life to a business idea
