Data Protection Officer - Housing Finance

Leading Housing Finance Co is looking for Data Protection Officer in their Compliance team for their Compliance team based at Andheri.

Qualified CA/ Legal professional with 3-7 years exp from BFSI NBFC/ HFC/ Banks industry.

Role and Responsibilities:

- To inform and advise all stakeholders of their obligations pursuant to data privacy Laws including GDPR

- To monitor compliance with the data protection provisions and with the policies in relation to the protection of data

- To carry out data protection impact assessments and implementation of resultant actionables across the organization

- Dealing with regulatory authorities/ supervisory authorities w.r.t. data privacy requirements

- Dissemination of new guidelines related to data privacy and actionable to relevant stakeholders, as and when issued and ensure implementation of same within organisation

- Review of various documents to ensure that they are in compliance with applicable regulatory norms and closure with relevant stakeholders

- On-going monitoring through various tools

- Preparation and/or review at regular frequency of policies, process documents etc. and take actions till last mile of approval and implementation

- Undertake activities for compliance awareness within organisation/ among employees including conducting various forms of trainings

- Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously

- Collaborate with various departments within organisation to monitor enforcement of data privacy standards standards and regulations

Must haves for the role:

- Experience or knowledge of financial industry and regulations

- Knowledge of the industry standards and regulations and corporate governance best practices

- Knowledge of data privacy Laws Indian as well International (at least GDPR)

- Ability to work under pressure situations and meet timelines

- High ethical standards and work diligently to complete the duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business

- Willingness for travelling to branches across PAN India
