Data Protection Officer - Financial Services Conglomerate (9-13 yrs)
Our client is a well known Financial Services Conglomerate. They are undertaking a search for a Data Protection Officer.
The role would be responsible for
- Formulation and Implementation of Data Governance Policy.
- Manage data as a strategic asset and operationalize data governance, data quality and other controls.
- Enable holistic governance by bringing all data as well as data privacy related activities under one umbrella and put in place operational controls such as data governance.
- Setting standards for legal & regulatory compliance, data policy and data retention.
- Provide information and advice to the Company on matters relating to fulfilling its obligations under existing / proposed Acts / Regulations on Data Protection.
- Monitor personal data processing activities of the Company so as to ensure compliance with existing / proposed Acts / Regulations on Data Protection.
- Single point of contact for implementation of data privacy acts/regulations like EU GDPR, proposed Indian Data Protection Bill etc. and point of contact for data protection authorities under the aforesaid regulations.
- Be the grievance redressal officer for all data privacy issues / complaints.
