Job Description:

Overview (Purpose/Objective):

- The position will join a world-class marketing analytics environment to understand customer needs, provide business insights, improve targeting, maximize return on investment, and optimize marketing campaigns. The major functional focus of this position is providing sophisticated statistical modeling, data mining/predictive analytics, advanced measurement, and other analytical techniques to improve targeting, gain business insights, and support strategic decision making. Other work may include understanding customer needs, complex profiling, and statistical analysis.

- This position will propose and deliver solutions with his/her subject matter expertise, develop methodologies or infrastructure, and serve as a strong business communicator with sponsors and peers.

Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

Developing solutions

- Proposes solutions to solve strategic, tactical, structured, and unstructured business problems, e.g. identifying drivers of retention, churn analysis.

- Communicates with business partners and sponsors on solution recommendations

- Potential recommended solutions include response and lookalike modeling, long-term value modeling, and strategic analysis

Directing and delivering solutions:

- Project and time management skills with an ability to set and maintain priorities in a multi-task environment

- Ability to achieve distinct results in a complex matrix environment & to influence action without direct authority through collaborative, consultative approach & strong relationship building skills

- Works independently or in team with other resources on projects, including providing coaching on business problems, guidance on methodologies, quality assurance of results, and managing deliverables and presentations of results

Communication and Coordination:

- Works with marketing sponsors to identify requirements

- Discusses with sponsors on appropriate problem-solving approaches

- Works with tech groups to identify and resolve any data, environment, or implementation issues

Developing/evaluating tools, methodologies or infrastructure:

- Evaluates/develops, tools, methodologies or infrastructure to support long-term business problems and take the group to the next level, e.g. modeling software, modeling methodologies, data and system requirements, scoring process, optimization environment

Experience and Qualifications:

- You should have Masters in Marketing/ Operations Research/ Statistics/ Econometrics or in any other quantitative discipline from leading Indian Universities with an excellent academic record. Candidates having between 2-5 years experience in industry working in areas like Statistical Analysis, Customer Relationship Management, Campaign Management and Marketing Research and having a flair for Quantitative Analysis with software packages like SAS/SPSS and SQL would be considered

Skills/Knowledge

- Subject matter expert of at some Decision Sciences areas (predictive modeling and data mining, marketing optimization, sophisticated experiments, advanced measurement, and deep-dive strategic analysis)

- SAS

- Unix/Linux

- Data mining / predictive analytics / machine learning techniques

- Advanced statistical training including experimental design and statistical analysis

- Familiar with data in an warehouse environment
