Two year pre-MBA data/information analyst at a buy side firm investing in India public markets;

Opportunity to work in front-end buy-side investing role, ideal for candidates looking for long term career in investing (public or private equity) and for those looking to pursue MBA/higher studies in the future

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Support portfolio managers and the investment team in data analysis and research on different companies and industries

- Data analysis and research related to macro-economic variables such as GDP, inflation, interest rates, foreign reserves etc.

- Synthesize findings of data analysis into usable insights

- Look for unique data sources/creative ideas to conduct research on a topic

- Work with the technology team in maintaining, updating and visually representing firm's proprietary data sets

- Help in creating fund marketing materials - presentations with information about the fund, portfolio and India opportunity

- Assist the fund management team in investor relation activities such as updating/creating fund information documents, calculation of NAV etc.

Pre-requisites :

- Highly motivated individual with a self-starter attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to take ownership and team player mindset

- BE/B.Tech from IIT or similar institution or; B.Com/BA Economics/BBA/BBS from a premier institution

- Passion for data analysis and research

- Proficiency with MS office - ppt, word, excel

- Work experience in a data heavy and research oriented role

Optional but Favourable Skills/Experience :

- Comfort with macros, VBA, SQL or other basic programming languages

- Work experiences in market research, field research or data analytics

- Comfort with databases such as Bloomberg, Ace Equity

- CFA L1/L2 or candidature
