Data Engineering Lead (6-12 yrs)

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for technical delivery for the respective scrum

- Displays good team planning and organizing skills and ensures that all scrum ceremonies/activities are run in a proper manner

- Guide and mentor the team, offers workable solutions to the various problems and ideas being faced by the team, enable team members to contribute well Individually with ownership mindset

- Actively involved in code reviews, design and architecture

- Conduct / drive the scrum ceremonies and also motivate the other members to actively participate

- Closely work with respective stakeholder like Product Owner, Scrum Master to define Sprint goals

- Take the end-to-end ownership of Sprint deliverable

- Work with the product owner on product backlog and prioritization and other respective stakeholders

- The ability to convey ideas, problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

- Proactively asking for more work in case of bandwidth available

- Technically sound and actively learn new thing/new technologies

- Actively Participate and drive tech events like Tech sync, Review meetings, Tech strategy

- Displays good leadership skills and has great abilities to influence others

Skills:

- Strong experience in Python

- Strong technical leadership and organizational skills

- Good experience using Design Patterns with better understanding of anti-patterns - preferably in Python

- Proficient in Data Ingestion, Data Processing, Data Exploration techniques

- Good experience designing Modern Data Architecture

- Intellectual curiosity to find new and unusual ways of how to solve data processing issues

- Good work experience and proof of technical expertise in PySpark, AWS Glue, Lambda, Athena, S3, EMR, File formats Avro, Parquet, CSV, JSON etc.

- Proficient in Big Data tools/frameworks, ETL, Data warehouse, Data Lake

- Better understanding & knowledge of CI/CD implementation, Terraform

- Proficient in Linux

- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets

- Good to have - Any experience in Apache Open Source Data processing tools and technologies, Data Analytics tools, any visualization tools like Tableau, Grafana etc
