Primary Responsibilities:
- Carry out work to an agreed plan, producing deliverables in an agreed timescale.
- Ability to understand and carry out mathematical analysis as per the requirements of the project.
- Ability to understand calculations based documents and respond to straightforward technical queries.
- Develop new (or update) spreadsheets to implement calculation method related to a requirement, which will act as a tool to generate the expected results for functional testing. Spreadsheets may include VBA coding
- Draft and maintain up-to-date, appropriate documentation and checklists for any processes that are implemented.
- Work in a structured and logical way with a lot of focus high degree of accuracy
- Liaise with development, business and systems support teams
- Ability to identify and understand business issues, and understand the impact on the business of proposed solutions
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Maintain an - audit trail- and version control to demonstrate the adequacy of the spreadsheet controls for future enhancements to the product.
- Ability to audit, identify and discuss defects, record them and subsequent fixes
- Seek and act on opportunities to develop technical and business understanding.

Qualification
- M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Statistics / Mathematics
- M.A. / B.A. in Economics
- M.Com. / B.Com.
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in numerical analysis field
Mandatory Knowledge
- IT literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office
- Experience and knowledge of either one of the tools and techniques used e.g.: Visual Basic, SQL, and Access.
- Report writing and documentation.
- Ability to interpret simple actuarial formulae.
Knowledge (good to have)
- Awareness of the Financial Services Industry and regulatory environment, and a reasonable knowledge of insurance products
- Understanding and knowledge of actuarial procedures
- Good knowledge of the Insurance business with the ability to understand Actuarial terms and perform calculations.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence, persuade, negotiate and challenge
- Resourceful in finding solutions and identifying sources of help and information
- Good planning and problem-solving skills
