Business Intelligence Data Engineer

- Area of responsibility:- The Global Markets Client Analytics team are responsible for providing data, insights, and analysis to Global Markets front office on client activity.- The consumers of this data and analysis are over 1000 global Front Office users including Sales, Trading, Research and Senior Management. - We are a global team, with presence in EMEA, Americas and APAC.-

- The team is responsible to build a solid database from various golden sources and develop analysis, reports, and dashboards to provide valuable insight to the Front Office in a rapid, agile manner.

Responsibilities:

- Production of data workflows and Industrialisation of tactical data projects

- Monitoring and support of data analytics infrastructure

- Liaise with data providers to solve data issues

- Assist management of the business by blending, extracting and analysing data

- Contribute to the implementation of improvements to the data processing systems: e.g. analysis and validation of feeds etc.

- Facilitate good communication flow with GCA team globally.

- Proof of concept data projects

- Relationship with other departments

- IT teams

- Marketing and Trading teams

Essential Skills :

The candidate must have the following skills and qualities:

- Good understanding of Computer Science: algorithms, complexity, etc.

- Experience with a few programming languages (object orientated eg Python/ Java/C++)

- Strong knowledge of SQL and database modelling

- An excellent track record of data processing and analysis

- Wider IT culture & interest: OS, parallelization, network, machine learning, databases

- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as reporting capabilities

- Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written

- Proactive & innovative approach to dealing with challenges and finding solutions

- Accuracy and absolute attention to detail required

- Effective problem solver and consensus builder

- Fluency in English

- Available for a training period abroad (in Europe)

- Interest in Open Source projects and communities

- Interest in finance and mathematics

Qualifications
