Zonal Logistics Head (DGM / GM) at Bhubaneswar


1. Support volume & profitability for the organization through efficient logistics process & initiatives.


2. Develop Planning strategies & implement based on agreed Demand & supply planning principles.

3. Manage service level & availability at agreed level thru S&OP process.

4. Development and implementation of Policy for: Vendor selection, on-boarding, 5. Performance monitoring and enhancing vendor performance.

6. Manage & Ensures TDC under budget Plan, continuously look around & innovative ways.

7. Drive Direct Dispatch (DD) with Sales stake holders and Unit team.

8. Design strategy and effective Coordination with Railways Division / zonal railways.

9. Relationship management with service partners - key Transport vendors, CFAs, Railway authorities etc.

10. Drive projects execution- Green Fuel, Spot Bidding- Short term & Long term, Dedicated Model.

11. Designs and implements distribution strategies (in sourcing or outsourcing) and evaluating alternate viable sources available within the region.

12. Evaluates the feasibility of the nature of contracts and tie-ups with suppliers.

13. Ensures predictable deliveries through initiatives like Automate Transportation

14. Management Systems such as lowest cost routing, real-time tracking, etc. to optimize regional logistics systems for better customer experience.

15. Ensure logistics processes are fully automated & digitally driven to support real-time monitoring.

16. Focuses on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive and apply critical insights.

17. Builds strong relationship with all stakeholders in line with the organization objective.

18. Ensures the compliances of internal mechanism and statutory requirements including safety.

19. PTPK/Freight Analysis-Primary & Secondary and bench mark with other organization. Streamlining supply chain processes considering optimal costing and acts as primary Interface between Sales, plants.

20. Team Development, Training and capability building.
