D2C Growth Role - FMCG - IIT/IIM/BITS/Ivy League (5-20 yrs)

We have an opening as a D2C Growth with one of our FMCG Client.

Job Location : Bangalore

Job Description :

- You'll be building and scaling our direct to consumer website.

- You'd be reporting to the founders directly and would be requested to present to the board every once in a while.

- Your primary KPIs would be revenue metrics for the website.

- You'd be building, managing and mentoring the team to create a high-growth but sustainable engine for the business.

- This would need bold decisions to meet aggressive targets. You'd have significant autonomy and budgets to experiment across all aspects of digital marketing.

- You'd be driving paid acquisition metrics across all platforms and scaling our campaigns across all the different properties of Google and Facebook. You'll also be driving our scaling acquisition using affiliate networks, nativa ads and CRM tools

- You'll also be responsible for scaling our traffic organically. This would include implementing SEO best practices, formulating and executing a coherent content and link-building strategy, coordinating with the social media team to drive social traffic.

All these decisions would be data backed and you would be working with analysts in your team to derive insights using analytic tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Hotjar, GA. You'll be running statistically relevant A/B testing experiments. You'll be performing cohort and retention analysis and driving the product and marketing decisions based on them. You'll also be passing these insights to our R&D team.

- You'll also be dictating the internal technical roadmap and overseeing product metrics such as the conversion rate. You' ll be running experiments to increase AOV and retention.

- You'll be responsible for both the overall user experience including overseeing teams to ensure smooth delivery experience (returns, cancellations, customer delight) and responsible for the PnL. This would also mean the responsibility of ensuring that we are working with the best partners/agencies or negotiating new contracts.

- We are a digital-first brand and you- d also be responsible for growing our brand through a variety of online-first initiatives.

- You'd also be critical in shaping our product, pricing and communication strategy.

Skills / Experience:

- Experience leading and scaling the growth function of a VC backed consumer-tech startup is ideal.

- Ecommerce or D2C experience is strongly preferred by not mandatory.

- Experience with web as a platform is preferred over app

- Should have had hands-on experience, at some point, with performance marketing. Specifically Instagram and Google.

- Should be data driven. Good knowledge of analytics tools such as and A/B testing

- Have good breadth across all digital paid marketing channels:

- Google (Search/Shopping/GSP/Remarketing/Display/Youtube);

- Facebook/Instagram

- Native Ads (Taboola/Columbia)

- Affiliate Marketing

CRM: Email, SMS

- Should have experience with increasing organic traffic: Understanding of SEO best practices, link building, content strategy, etc.

- Should have experience with product growth hacks and funnel optimization

- Experience with managing budgets and PnL

- You should be comfortable working in a very fast-paced and ambiguous environment

- A passion for your craft

- Good to Have

- A background in software engineering and product development or experience with multiple e-commerce platforms.

- Someone who has a strong interest, good taste, and spends time following branding related aspects of communication. Eg: Copy, Aesthetics, Positioning etc.

- Degree from a T1 college (IIT/IIM/BITS/Ivy League).

- We are very startupy and also have a strong bias towards former tech-entrepreneurs.
