The role is reporting to the Project Manager
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to successfully develop a Cloud hosted solution platform leveraging geospatial data, image processing, machine learning and web based application development technologies.
Key Accountabilities
- Development of Machine Learning algorithms for image processing oriented tasks.
- Solution/platform development
- Contributes as part of the inner circle of the platform development team
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
- Strong experience for developing Machine Learning models, particularly for image processing.
- Strong capabilities on development tools such as Python, R and MATLAB.
- Good exposure to visualization development tools such as Tableau or similar platforms.
- Experience with- GIS data types and data stores.
- Experience with .NET, Java script.
- Extensive knowledge in Spark MLlib, Hadoop, Mule ESB
- Should have strong experience in Java/.net
- To have interest and experience on open source programming, open data library and open source GIS platforms (GIS and image processing)
- To have good command over mathematics and have experience and knowledge of statistics (variations, frequency, standard deviation etc.)
- Certifications in programming languages and visualization products is preferable
- Scrum/agile development
- Background in Big Data, Location Based Services and software/hardware development projects
- 5+ years of job experience

The university background is preferably engineering / Technology oriented, other backgrounds are possible if they add to the diversity of the team and in combination with useful work experience.
