Job Description

Job Title - Head – Legal

Company - Cyberoam Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Job Area - Legal

Location - India – Ahmedabad

REPORTS TO: Director and CFO

MAIN CONTRIBUTION OF THIS JOB

We are currently seeking Legal Head with a minimum of 10+ year’s experience. Role involves heading legal department.

Organization Structure & other information:

- Cyberoam Technologies Private Limited at corporate office at Ahmedabad.

- Subsidiary at USA

- Branches at UAE, South Africa, Uk

- More than 500 people including more than 30 globally working people at different parts of the world

- Warehouse at 3 locations across the Globe

- Auditor: Deloitte

Role & Responsibilities:

I. Coordination with various functions heads:

For implementing various organization policies and compliance

II. Legal functions:

- Drafting / Vetting on various agreements enter into by the Company;

- Responsible for IPR including open source, patent and trade mark etc.

- Responsible for implementation of export control laws of various countries

- Responsible for implementation of UK and other bribery laws

- Responsible for various laws such as personal laws, shop and establishment laws and other business laws.

- Responsible for finalizing various insurance policies

- Create / Maintain legal database;

- Assist in implementation of e library project;

- Assist other departments by providing various details / advice;

- Conduct research and prepare notes on various issues relevant for the business of the Company;

- Conduct research for various case law relevant to the company;

PERSON SPECIFICATION – JOB-RELATED REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

- Heading Legal functions for IT and/or pharma company

- Must have rich drafting experience

- Must have international exposure

- Must have experience and knowledge of various export laws and Anti bribery laws

- Must have experienced of handling IP related matters like open source, trademark and international patent etc.

- Must have experience of implementation of various laws such as Personal and other business laws

Desirable: Technical knowledge for software/IT industry

SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

ESSENTIAL

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Excellent command over legal drafting skills

- Ability to effectively work and communicate at all levels within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

ESSENTIAL

- LLM and higher

- Minimum of 10 years solid generalist experience, preferably in a IT/ITES Industry

- Proficiency in Microsoft offices

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- Self driven, ability to push for results with limited resources
