The Corporate Communications Team Lead/Asst. Team Lead will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Communications team within Cvent's Marketing department in India. This position requires internal collaboration with cross-functional teams in order to execute on communications deliverables and online reputation administration of Cvent, including external and internal communications, review sites and third-party media sites. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of internal and external communications, exceptional communication abilities, and works well with a wide variety of internal and external partners.
Position Duties:
- Develop integrated communications plans and campaigns that drive Cvent's mission forward for customer and employer branding
- Develop relationships with key reporters / agency in Delhi, all of India, and the APAC region
- Pitch and place external news stories in the region - APAC & India
- Assist in marketing communications (award submissions, blog posts)
- Research new awards, competitors, industry news/online trends for story ideas and social media campaigns
- Maintain corporate communications editorial calendar of campaigns, press releases, product announcements, company events / communications, and key milestones / seasonal occurrences
Candidate Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's/master's degree in Communications or Marketing / Advertising or a liberal arts discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Public Relations / marketing communications experience; in a corporate setting or agency experience is a plus
- Strong writing skills and effective communication skills are requirements; ability to understand our target audiences, appropriate tone, display compelling narrative and storytelling as well as technical and professional attributes
- Experience with communications or marketing in the hospitality, event industry, or at a software company a plus
- Adheres to high ethical values, exercises discretion on confidential matters
- Team player mindset, having the ability to work seamlessly and visibly as the key junior member of a small team of corporate communications professionals
- Ability to exercise good judgement in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing to meet deadlines
- Creative thinker, detail-oriented, self-motivated and excellent project management skills
- High degree of computer literacy and proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Software experience with Influitive, Hootsuite, Simply Measured, or Salesforce.com a plus
