Position Responsibilities - Build technical and financial models for energy storage systems in python -Will be responsible for working on Competitive Markets Evaluation Tools for Storage (CoMETS) platform developed by CES - Tasks mainly include developing, maintaining and enhancing energy storage models which are modelled for In-Front-Of-Meter and Behind-The-Meter in US energy markets. Tasks also include deploying python models to the web platform - Solve optimization problem involving determining optimal dispatch of storage to maximize revenues and/or dispatch of generation assets in a system to achieve least cost. - Support consulting work for Emerging Technologies team that requires simulating CoMETS energy storage models on-line or off-line Required and Preferred Qualifications - Relevant college degree or equivalent experience required. - Knowledge of energy storage concepts including: grid level storage, behind the meter storage, energy storage and battery technology, renewables pairing, and energy storage dispatch modeling highly preferred. - Strong analytical/quantitative skills required - Usual working hours 1 to 9 pm to interface with U.S. clients and colleagues. Flexibility to accommodate U.S. work required. -Experience working with Python is a must -Knowledge of R/Matlab is a plus - Good English verbal communication skills required - Group presentation skills preferred - Ability to work independently and collaboratively required - Business development orientation preferred - Positive attitude and strong work ethic required!
