Customer Marketing Head - FMCG (8-15 yrs)

Job purpose & Scope :

The purpose of this role is to conceptualize, plan and drive the entire Customer Marketing Strategy. Plan and initiate various customer marketing activities and engage with the different internal stakeholders for seamless co-ordination and support. Provide suitable marketing and merchandising solutions in the General Trade and other existing channels. The role will also facilitate to develop understanding of knowledge of the businesses amongst our marketing team members. Design and drive relationship programs for our key customers across all channels in order to build long term partnerships and increase in profit and sales. This is a newly created position for extra retail focus.

External Interactions (Outside the Organization): Agencies / Firms for managing :

- Retail surveys

- BTL activations

- Visibility Impact agencies

- POSM management.

Major Areas of Responsibilities Financial Responsibility :

- Responsible for the annual plan for the customer marketing budget.

- Budgeting and disciplined execution.

- Provide suggestions and recommendations for new product launches, commercialization and BTL marketing.

Customer Marketing :

- Must influence and provide direction to sales and trade marketing teams within BEL and also at the retailer network. Create an effective competitor tracking system to capture latest competition activities in GT. The role has a strategic, planning and tactical component to the role.

Planning and Management :

- Design and drive customer marketing plans directly with the Trade marketing and Marketing for Retailers.

- Plan and drive visibility of the categories and brand at the trade and other defined channels / customers.

- Plan and implement measures and evaluation for various customer marketing activities.

Visibility :

- Contribute actively towards the planning and implementation of the visibility strategy in GT - POSM / Merchandising deployment and management plans for GT - In Store and other retail branding activities to be managed totally for GT BTL / Trade activities:

- Plan and drive the annual BTL strategy for customer marketing.

- Plan and drive the various dealer meets, trade meets etc.

- Design robust mechanism for measuring the effectiveness of BTL activities.

Person Specifications Essential Qualification: MBA (Specialization in Marketing) Desired Qualification: MBA from Premier B School

Experience : Minimum 8 years in Retail, Trade Marketing, KAM (Key Account Management). Exposure to sales function will add value.

Industry Preference : FMCG, Retail, Oils, Paints, Lubricants, Modern Trade, F&B, Consumer Durables etc.
