- Our client is India's first supply chain network of ugly yet fresh and fit-for-consumption fruits and vegetables. It buys the produce from farmers and sells them directly to commercial kitchens thereby bridging the gap between buyers and sellers.
- Founded in 2019, this Y-Combinator backed agri-tech company already has more than 500 customers across Bangalore and has raised ~$1.5 million till date, with plans for a nationwide rollout. Some of its clients include IIM Bangalore, Subway, Freshmenu, Toscano, Chianti, among others.
- It is successfully curbing food waste, increasing farmer incomes and giving access to healthy, affordable produce to one and all.
- As a B2B Sales / Customer Acquisition Manager, you will be responsible for engaging and building strong business relationships with proprietors of restaurants, food processing units, chains, and 5-star hotels.
What you will do:
- Identifying and targeting potential B2B customers, including proprietors of restaurants, food processing units, chains, and 5-star hotels.
- Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of prospective clients through cold calls, networking, referrals, and other lead generation methods.
- Conducting in-depth market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Developing and delivering persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and solutions that align with clients' business objectives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding and implementation of acquired clients.
- Negotiating and finalizing contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Tracking and reporting sales activities, customer interactions, and progress towards targets using CRM tools.
- Providing exceptional post-sale customer support and maintain ongoing relationships to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Staying updated on industry developments, market dynamics, and emerging trends to enhance the company's competitive position.
- Achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets to drive revenue growth.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Proven track record of 2-5 years in B2B sales and customer acquisition, preferably in the food industry or related sectors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with decision-makers at various levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
- Experience in managing a diverse client portfolio and navigating complex sales cycles.
- Familiarity with CRM software and tools for tracking sales activities and managing customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory and work flexible hours as required.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of the restaurant, food processing, and hospitality industry is highly desirable.
