CTO - European Auto Collaboration- India

Leading Indian OEM supplier for the automotive industry with European collaboration.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Technology absorption (from JV partner) and deployment

- Providing overall supervision and direction in execution of customer projects in timely manner right from APQP to Mass Production PPAP lot submission.

- Development of India specific hardware & embedded software solutions

- Application support on product selection as well as integration and testing of MCUs in EV powertrains

- Building & mentoring team capability for engineering and application support

- Working closely with BD team to understand voice of customer and translating to product strategy, plans and specifications

- Leading timely completion of advanced engineering and product development projects

- Supporting operations, quality and after sales service teams on problem resolution

- Identifying and screening new technologies for additional EV product lines that the company may want to enter

Person and Experience Profile

- Qualified Engineer (Electronics/Power Electronics) preferably from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutes. Should have excellent knowledge of electric motors drives

- 15-20 years' experience in the Automotive/Auto Component/Motor & AC Drive industries. Experience in EV space would be a huge advantage. Automotive background is a necessity.

- Exposure to both hardware & embedded software development required

- Demonstrable business acumen and ability to understand customer needs

- Comfortable working in a startup environment and flexible to adjust plans as per business needs

- High drive and enthusiasm to make a difference

- Exposure to multicultural environment

- Good people manager and mentor

Leads the team of ~ 90 engineers in Application support & Product Development
