CSB Bank - Regional Head - Credit - SME Segment (10-15 yrs)

Key Performance Areas :

- Lead the SME/MSME credit team for a region, providing support, training, and development to direct reports to achieve the Credit team's objectives

- Approve and recommend medium ticket credit exposures as per SME definition

- Evaluate client performance through analysis of the industry and economic conditions, business competitiveness, management strength, and in-depth analysis of financial statements involving calculation & interpretation of key ratios essential to the business/industry

- Liaising with the business side/meeting customers to understand their evolving needs/requirements and structure requisite facilities that benefit both bank and client

- Ownership for the quality of the SME/MSME portfolio of the region. Ongoing tracking of the portfolio with the objectives of improving the credit quality, flagging of early warning triggers leading to a reduction in delinquencies. Implement appropriate control checks for portfolio improvement.

- Tracking critical developments and analyzing the impact on assigned portfolio. Propose changes in credit portfolio according to industry scenario / changing market condition

- Provide an independent assessment of the Credit Risk of the regional portfolio by maintaining a qualitative overview of Lending Unit activities. Report on loan book performance, enhancing and developing Credit Risk management information and reporting. Ensure the management reporting of Credit Risk is comprehensive and timely.

- Liaise with auditors and rectify audit observations, if any.

Competencies Required :

1. Team management. Shall be able to motivate and guide a team of Credit analysts.

2. Expert-level knowledge of Credit analysis. Shall be able to structure a transaction/exposure.

3. Knowledge of various industries from a lending perspective

4. Ability to analyze a credit decision logically, argue effectively with his point of view, take decisions rationally.
