As a business development professional, you will be concerned with improving and growing the business, by fostering and developing relationships with new customers in the areas assigned to you. You will need to improve profitability through careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets.

You will have an Individual contributor role in the organization & will lead a team of staff as a career enhancement path. Your work will often reach across Banking and Financial industry sector across various international geographies as assigned to you.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

For the business development manager, the target sector will be Banking and Financial industry with B2B Sales with responsibilities of:

- Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products, and services

- Develop new business by generating leads through an extensive cold call with prospective customers

- Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone

- Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of action like demonstrations, proposals, etc.

- Should be able to run complete sales cycle from Initiating leads to deal closure

- Draw up client contracts - depending on the size of the company, this task may be completed by someone else or agreements may not be as formal

- Manage Sales Demos and Coordinate Status Meetings as Needed

- Remain Knowledgeable of Market and Industry Trends, Competitors, And Leading Customer Strategies

- Develop and Deliver Sales Presentations on Behalf of The Company

- Understand And Articulate Organization Value Proposition

- Discuss Promotional Strategy and Activities with The Marketing Department

- Keep Abreast of Trends and Changes in The Business World.

DESIRED SKILLS:

Must have:

- Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people at various levels, both internally and externally

- The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports

- Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch

- Experience in handling large enterprise deals, run complete sales cycle, understand customer buying cycle and competition understanding

- Deep understanding of Sales Cycle and process.

- Experience of Direct Sales of Enterprise Applications, with background understanding of software sales

- A professional manner and presentable appearance for meeting customers/clients

Good to Have:

- Sales Experience from BFSI domain

- Has experience in selling Oracle-Seibel, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce
