Crisil - Senior Research Analyst - Equity Research - Buy side (5-7 yrs)
Job Title: Senior Research Analyst/Lead Analyst
Department: Buy side
Role
- The role involves supporting the research team of a US-based Long Only Hedge Fund
- Responsibilities would include working with Fund managers at client end and provide highly integrated research support
- Build and maintain financial models for active and new positions
- Play a consultative role in analyzing and sharing insights on the companies tracked
- Handle bespoke research tasks, including preparing event updates, analyzing IPOs/corporate actions, maintaining sector databases
- Synthesize sell-side research recommendations and consensus views
- Preparing questions for company management and coordination with sell-side brokers
- Support in thematic top down or bottom up research in stock selection as relationship evolves
- Prepare short investment notes based on analysis and provide clients with actionable insights
- Provide quarterly earnings summary for the portfolio companies
Candidate Profile :
- Prior knowledge of buy-side research preferred
- Prior exposure to Real Estate / TMT (either or both) sector(s) preferred
- Candidate should be sector agnostic and ready to take up a new sector willingly
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and client relationship skills. Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts. Attention to detail, ability to stretch and learn, high analytical rigor
- Excellent financial modelling skills. Should be able to independently create, update and forecast financial models
- Good problem solving skills
- Prior experience in guiding and mentoring junior team members will be advantageous
- Knowledge of databases like Bloomberg and CapIQ a plus
Essential Qualifications
- MBA (Finance), CA or CFA (US). Prior experience in Buy Side Equity Research preferred
