Job Role: Rating Analyst

- The role involves credit ratings and recovery ratings

- Credit rating assignments involve rigorous credit risk analysis encompassing industry / business research and financial analysis of corporates

Recovery risk rating assignments involve:

- Analyzing various resolution strategies (such as restructuring; sale of business; sale of assets; settlement) adopted by asset reconstruction companies (ARCs) to resolve stressed assets

- assessing the future cashflows basis these resolution strategies

- Maintain a high quality of analytics and rating committee presentation - respond to the questions/provide clarifications in support of the rating recommendation

- Preparation of rating reports that cogently capture the rationale behind the rating

- Ensure adherence to regulatory timelines

- Regular communication with clients - to understand their strategy and business model, rating communication etc

- Contribution to sectoral research/opinion pieces being published by CRISIL on a regular basis

- Required qualification and work-ex: CA/MBA/MMS with 2-5 years of relevant work experience

Required skill sets: Besides soft skills, a candidate should have good analytical skills, stakeholder/client management skills and analytical report writing skills

Preference: Relevant work experience in credit analysis or recovery analysis with asset reconstruction companies; rating agencies; stressed asset division of banks/FIs etc
