Job Title : Senior Research Analyst / Research Analyst

Job Location : Mumbai

Role :

- Experienced research analyst to work with a HK based asset manager and provide support on carrying out equity research, valuation and report writing for Indian stocks in the industrial and commodities sector.

Candidates should be willing to work during HK timing

Experience : 1-6 years of exp in Equity Research

Job Duties :

- Proficient in Financial Modelling; should be able to develop investment thesis and work on detailed reports.

- Conduct industry research for thematic top down stock selection

- Conduct primary research from industry sources; collect and interpret company data to facilitate ideas

- Proficient in desktop research for ad-hoc research tasks

- Strong communication skills to be able to independently manage interactions with clients and industry experts

- Experience in industrial and commodities sector preferred

- Proficiency in Bloomberg or Capital IQ, or other data mining software is an asset

- Shift timing: Significant overlap with HK time zone

Skills required :

- Independent coverage of Indian stocks in the industrial and commodities sector

- Design, construct and manage rigorous financial models to track historical data and create forecasts and work on pro-forma analysis

- Write detailed investment research reports

- Model and analyze publicly available company/industry financial data

- Represent the client in management conferences, site/plant visits and other related events

- Analyze financial and non-financial data using online and other data sources such as Bloomberg and other financial databases

- Support on ad hoc research deliverables such as earnings notes, quarterly updates, dailies and other products

Qualification :

Essential Qualifications :

- Master's degree with a major in finance

- Candidates with a relevant qualification (CFA or CA) will be preferred
