Job Duties

- Work on large data sets pertaining to financial market data such as financial statements, prices etc. and Integrate data across various data sources

- Update, maintain and design new databases, tables etc. on a regular basis

- Create new tools in the form of tables and functions primarily using SQL/SAS

- Optimize existing SQL queries/stored procedures to achieve quicker updates to databases, analyze the monthly database update process and devise ways to make it more efficient and quick

- Develop automation of existing manual processes and updates in SAS

- Create QC processes to ensure data integrity, monitor data feeds and troubleshoot issues

- Develop factor models and back testing the factor models using the developed/existing databases to generate new strategies

Qualification

- B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Physics etc.

- CFA / FRM (pursuing / completed) would be an added advantage

Skills required

- Strong experience in SQL programming and SAS

- Knowledge in any of the following - MATLAB, R, Python, VBA would be added advantage

- Basic understanding of financial statements, Equities asset classes and markets

- Good understanding of statistical models such as correlations, regression etc.

- Understanding of data sets like Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, Factset

- Good Excel spreadsheet skills

- Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with global clients

- Diligence, high level of attention to detail and accuracy
