Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Client and project management :

- Be CRISIL's subject matter expert in sustainable lending during client engagements

- Identify requirements in risk assessment of sustainable transactions through the loan life cycle - underwriting, risk rating processes, regulations, compliance, portfolio monitoring, loan recovery / resolution, among others

- Lead / execute new client pilots for new opportunities in the sustainable lending (ESG + Climate risk work streams) space

- Lead and manage assigned engagements / projects in the sustainable lending (ESG and climate risk projects in ICR) and credit risk space

Support in growing ICR's sustainable lending franchise:

- Work with business leaders to modify/build business offerings to meet the market needs

- Leverage know-how on the subject and industry network to provide leads to business leaders for establishing and expanding business (top tier large and regional banks) in the sustainable lending space

- Track regulatory developments across different regions in sustainable lending to ensure that our offerings and services stay relevant

- Work closely with business heads and business development team to identify opportunities and plan go-to-market strategies for offerings in this space

- Support the business leaders with research and preparations on proposals, Requests for Proposal and Request for Information responses

- Take the lead to demonstrate CRISIL's capabilities (in white papers, point of view notes, webinars, etc.) in the sustainable lending space

Team management :

- Lead teams of analysts to deliver on client requirements

- Manage the performance of team members, conduct regular quality reviews and responsible for workflow management

- Train new hires in the team and coach team members to keep them updated with changes

Job Skills & Qualifications :

- MBA/CA/CFA/ + Certifications in ESG / Climate risk / Sustainable finance (GARP, etc.)

- Knowledge of existing and evolving regulations impacting the credit and sustainable lending space

- Strong understanding of credit risk criteria and climate risk assessment frameworks

- 7-9 years of experience in the credit risk space with good exposure to ESG assessment of banks' lending portfolio, climate risk assessment of banks' lending portfolio, monitoring KPIs / SPTs in banks' sustainable loans

- Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills with ability to interpret business problems and respond with sharp solutions

- Strong domain knowledge, team management and problem-solving skills, with experience of leading moderately-sized teams (4-5 members)

- Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment and work independently with minimal supervision
