High Yield - Credit Corporate KEY ROLES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES :&nbsp; The analyst would provide essential support to a Buy-side client by undertaking the following activities independently for High Yield coverage: - Prepare and update credit models. Carry out credit modelling with 3-financial statements, projections, calculating credit ratios, FCF and capital structure, and covenant analysis - Good financial modeling skills and preferably some experience in writing investment notes - Strong understanding of capital structures, covenant analysis, recovery analysis and interpretation of indentures - Quickly develop understanding of the operating and financial metrics relevant for any new sector in coverage - Write credit memos/investment thesis for companies under coverage - Support the client with any other ad-hoc research requests - The role requires regular surveillance of the assigned portfolio by proactively tracking the company events (including quarterly earnings, regulatory updates), peer group and other industry information sources - Engage with client teams proactively and independently. Suggest and discuss new ideas on improving research outcome and processes - Establish and maintain consistent standards and processes in credit analysis - Experience in distressed debt/recovery analysis/relative valuation of bonds will be an added advantage MINIMUM &amp; PREFERRED EDUCATION: MBA or CA with prior experience in credit research MINIMUM &amp; PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS : - Background in conducting credit analysis of HY corporates of 1 to 8 Years - Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to quickly turn around credit models and reports - Good communication skills, written and verbal - Attention to detail - Should be capable of multi-tasking and handling projects with tight deadlines
