Credit Underwriter - Rural Finance & Micro Lending - BFSI

We are SaaS-based fintech product company focused on rural or urban India region. Using mobile technology for Rural banking.

We are in search of an experienced credit underwriter who has a proper understanding or experience dealing with Rural Finance or MicroLending.

As a Credit Underwriter, You will review the applications for new credit.

- You will protect the interests of lenders by reviewing financial information provided by the applicant and credit agencies to determine whether the applicant meets the lender's criteria of a creditworthy borrower.

- Underwriters are tasked with finding suitable borrowers rather than looking for reasons to reject applications.

- Understand the four C's of credit when reviewing credit applications.

- Out of box thinking and challenge each manual process.

- Performs financial analysis and makes recommendations on new and existing credits and exposures.

- The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the credit risk of Rural Finance segment. How to review, assess and underwrite for a lending solution. Should understand and appreciate financial ratios and the working capital requirement for different segments.
