Your field of responsibility

The surveillance team is responsible for monitoring trading in equity, derivatives and fixed income products across the APAC region for GM business, detect trading activity that could adversely affect the firm and its reputation. They work closely with experienced regional teams and develop the capacity to conduct high quality routine surveillance with minimal supervision. They also work with compliance product and country coverage teams, support functions (including IT and Operations) and other stakeholders to identify business changes and regulatory developments that warrant up-dating existing or developing new surveillance patterns to ensure the firm has comprehensive cover-age.

Join us as a Compliance Officer within the growing APAC GM Trade Surveillance Team in Pune, where you will be responsible to provide:

- The accurate review of Level One Trade Surveillance alerts before passing on to the Floor Surveillance Officers ("FSO"), ensuring timely reporting of cases.

- Conduct and document monitoring reviews, and reporting of potential red flags for further investigation.

- Active participation in team meetings and contribute towards Surveillance team activities and initiatives.

- Build and maintain strong relationship with global business partners and coordinate with the broader Surveillance teams in the region.

- Participate in UAT and work closely with region to help ensure surveillance parameters are appropriately set and operating effectively

Your skills and experience

You'll be a good match, if you have:

- Graduate/Post-Graduate degree, preferably with specialization in banking or finance

- At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience in either Trade/Information Barrier Surveil-lance; trading or investigative roles beneficial, however not a requirement

- Proficiency in asset classes and core products traded in the banking industry and sound financial markets knowledge

- Outstanding knowledge of relevant regulatory and market conduct rules and other related regulations

- Proactive, possessing a sense of ownership and accountability in following through on existing issues and cases

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with interpersonal ability and good analytical problem solving skills and eye for detail

- Strong Microsoft Office skills with exposure to SQL, VBA experience is a plus

- Be passionate about the role, can work under pressure as well as challenge and build positive relationship

- Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking and can work on own initiative whilst also delivering on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
