Credit Suisse - Equity Research Analyst -Consumer Sector AVP


Your field of responsibility:

- The role is for fundamental equity research analyst for global Consumer sector covering discretionary and staples sector, which includes retail, luxury goods, ecommerce players, autos, consumer services, household & personal care (HPC), beverages and packaged food companies, mainly for the US and European markets.


- Responsible for a full range of research functions from data gathering, financial model-building, to pitching investment proposals and portfolio management, supporting lead analysts at onshore location.


- Core tasks will include building in-depth understanding of industry trends and business drivers of the company, tracking corporate results, analyzing macro-economic events, and preparing presentations.


- Your success will be measured by alpha generated for clients through your stock ideas, and level of collaboration with various business partners.

Your future colleagues:

- An exciting journey to join the Private Banking Research group under Investment Solutions and Sustainability (IS&S) team which is part of Wealth Management division in Credit Suisse. The group works on fundamental and quantitative research in verticals like Equities, Fixed Income/ Credit, FX, Macro and others and assist through top-down and bottom-up inputs as part of the Investment life cycle.


- Investment Strategy and Research publishes periodic investment reports for all these asset classes which are distributed to PB Clients.


- The team provides active support for the investment decision making by the global Investment Committee. We have a collegial work environment, en-courage team-work, and have a meritocracy culture.

Your skills & experience:

- We are looking for relevant experienced candidate who has covered global Consumer sector

- Minimum of 2-8 years of proven experience in fundamental equity research covering global Consumer Discretionary or Consumer Staples sector with sell-side or buy-side firms

- You have in-depth understanding of industry/ sector drivers and company business models of leading global consumer companies

- Post-graduation degree in Finance/Economics from reputed University, with added qualifications like CFA/CA/FRM preferred

- Ability to communicate, summarize and discuss investment case succinctly

- Proficient in handling data sources like Bloomberg / DataStream

- Result oriented, hardworking, dedicated who can work independently with strong ownership of tasks, and deliver on time with a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and sense of urgency

- Passion for financial markets and cross-asset research/strategy

- Proven ability to build positive relationships and communicate with global business partners
