Credit Research Analyst

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Working for a senior analyst in London, undertake fundamental single name corporate credit research to support investments in European high yield, investment grade, and leveraged loans.

2. Support a disciplined investment process through performing a thorough fundamental credit analysis of European [corporates] and securities in the [Autos and Industrials] sectors.

This includes:

A) Writing research reports that summarize descriptions, financial and qualitative analysis of issuers and the sectors.

B) Building and maintaining historical and projected excel financial models of the companies analyzing key financial metrics to support differentiation of improving from deteriorating credits.

C) Maintaining databases of sector/industry metrics and comparative ratios.

D) Monitor news flow, relevant events, and market performance of the issuers and the sector.

3. Prepare presentations, reports and summary notes for senior analysts and portfolio manager, as required

4. Interact with sell-side analyst community and credit rating agencies

5. Work closely with colleagues across a global (London, LA, New York) fixed income and corporate credit platform incorporating investment grade, high yield, leveraged loans, and structured credit

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: (Academic, Professional, Relevant Job Knowledge)

- Bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance, operational research or related quantitative discipline

- CFA, MBA, and/or ACCA helpful, but not required

- Advanced skills in excel and financial modelling

- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail

- Minimum of five years experience in a role undertaking financial analysis and modelling

- Commercial solutions-oriented approach

- Strong written and verbal communications skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
