Credit Analyst - Bank (1-5 yrs)
Credit Analyst with leading Private Bank
- Evaluating clients- credit data and financial statements in order to determine the degree of risk involved in lending money to them
- Preparing reports about the degree of risk in lending money to clients
- Analyzing client records and using the data to recommend payment plans
- Conferring with credit associations and references to exchange credit information on clients
- Evaluating the financial status of clients by producing financial ratios through computer programs
- Filling out loan applications and including the credit analysis and loan request summaries, then submitting these loan applications to loan committees for their approval
- Conferring with clients to verify their financial/credit transactions and to resolve their complaints
- Credit analysts will need to be familiar with include:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Ratio analysis
- Statistics
- Economics
- Financial statement analysis
- Risk assessment
Required- MBA Finance or CA with 1- 5 years of experience.
Role Purpose:
The person for this role is expected to serve as an underwriter of Home loan/Home Equity proposals who can do the Credit appraisal, financial analysis and decision of loan proposals and maintain highest standard on quality. The person will also be responsible for empanelment of vendors e.g. Legal, Technical, Contact point verification agency (CPV), Fraud Control unit (FCU) for their respective branches. This role will also require travelling and meeting with customer at their business premises. This position will report to Regional Credit Manager.
Skills:
Knowledge of analysing financial statements which includes Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements. Must have knowledge of different loan products available in the market.
