REPORTING TO : Team Leader GELOP

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of priority)

Summary of the team's activity :

Global EBONI Loans Operations Platform (GELOP) is responsible for processing the Loans portfolio of a number of CACIB branches around the world.

This relies on the accurate setting up of all new facilities and the general maintenance of all associated data through the life of the facility, tasks which are under responsibility of Business Support Groups (BSG).

The job holder will have day to day responsibility for the administration of all facilities and associated products linked with these, for some of the branches of Cr- dit Agricole CIB. Ensuring that all Business-As-Usual processes are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner and necessary controls are adhered to.

Different types of Loans are included :

- Bilateral Loans

- Export Finance (agent and participant)

- Syndicated Loans where the bank is agent

- Participant Loans

Most loans are denominated in major currencies (single or multiple currencies).

GELOP is responsible for arranging the necessary funding of these loans, initiating new drawings, handling roll over- s, repayments, pre-payments, issuance of some notices, calculation and processing of commissions in respect of the facilities administered.

Cash flows relating to movements in the loans portfolio are managed by GELOP and will be subject to checking and authorisation.

GELOP is also responsible for :

- The booking of all associated loan transactions in Back Office systems,

- Reconciliation between FO and BO systems,

- Booking and management/distribution of fees, commissions,

- Following up all non receipts and settling claims against or for ourselves,

- Reconciliation and justification of internal accounts,

- Production controls.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administering Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Pre-payments, Funding, Rate-Fixings, Fees and Commission posting, External payments, collection of interest, Nostro Reconciliations, general administration related to the loans portfolio managed along with undertaking adhoc queries and investigations, monitoring all associated data under responsibility of GELOP

- Validate captures, events and payments processed by other members of the team (clerks or eventually other validators)

- Actively assist in the training and development of less experienced members of the team with on-the-job training, coaching and development

- Provide guidance to other members of the team regarding technical loans administration subjects, provide regular coaching to loans administrator

- Ensure compliance with all necessary controls and procedures in respect of local regulations of branches serviced

- Responsibility to escalate any issues/problems or control gaps to their Team Leader

- Responsibility of daily controls (as a back-up of team leader when he/she is away)

- Undertake adhoc duties and project work to assist the Management team

- When necessary assist the management team in the enhancement of systems, notably Users Acceptance Tests (UAT)

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities :

- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Average distribution of working time :

- Processing and verification of day to day work and validation of loans administration work 60%

- Set up of new facilities 5-10%

- Queries and reconciliations 10%

- General Administration 5 %

- Attendance at department meetings 5%

- Review the departments working methods 5%

- Develop and initiate new procedures 5%

Key competencies required of Job Holder :

- Sound knowledge of general banking operations (to include Accounting, Funding Nostro movements and Cash management)

- Solid experience of Loans Administration and the ability to understand terms and conditions of loans contracts

- Be expert in using CA-CIB loans, payments and other systems (training will be provided), literate in MS Office suite (Word and Excel)

- Ability to identify changes to processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency

- Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to loans operations

- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and with all parties concerned, notably Business Support Groups located abroad in multiple branches of CACIB

- Fluent English, and other foreign languages appreciated

- Be able to operate in - project mode- i.e. contribute to projects run by IT (mainly UAT sessions)
