Creative Fashion Director - Styling (10-15 yrs)
Job Title : Creative Fashion Director cum Stylist
- We are seeking an extraordinary talent to join our Team as the Creative Director - Stylist. You will provide the global vision and design direction of the business through strong partnership and collaboration.
- The Creative Director - Stylist will be overseeing the seasonal direction + design across the jewellery category.
Key responsibilities include :
- Identify and guide design direction and strategy for the business into jewellery category
- Lead design process from concept to production
- Internal collaboration with concept, merchandising and marketing to ensure story adheres to business, trend and market needs
- Collaboration with product development team to bring product to life
- Foster collaboration with multiple teams including stores; open to feedback
- Ensure on time design and development by adhering to established calendar
- Cultivate an environment which encourages collaboration, curiosity and thought-provoking design
What you'll do :
- Sets overall direction in the conceptual development of product lines.
- Consistently seeks out Global Innovation.
- Fully responsible for managing staff in all aspects of the entire jewellery design process to include market research, mood board creation, designing, sketching and fit.
- Selects, trains, motivates and evaluates staff.
- Responsible for managing and providing creative direction to design staff.
- In conjunction with Product Development management, responsible for visualizing and determining strategic direction of business; accountable for process improvement, growing business and seeking opportunities to positively affect division/company.
- Fully responsible for ensuring that product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy; interprets international/domestic concepts and fashion trends as it relates to market demands, company image and business strategy.
- Oversees and drives selection of fabric, trim, and materials.
- Fully responsible for identifying and executing opportunities for process improvement through immediate staff members.
- Provides overall recommendations and sets tone regarding style and overall aesthetic direction of product(s) during presentation.
- Ensures consistency of look between differing & aligned businesses (e.g., main line & performance active line print/color/fabric leverage & head to toe connection)
Required Skills and Experience :
- Preferably 10+ years of design/fashion/styling and leadership experience
- Experience with applying the brand vision in product design
- In-depth knowledge of design techniques and processes with a focus on accessories expertise.
- Ability to set overall creative tone and lead creative design process.
- Ability to convey aesthetic vision to leadership and key vendors.
- Excellent sense of style, trend, color, and print & pattern.
- Excellent leadership/management skills. Proven leadership capabilities with experience and desire to teach and mentor
- Ability to work within a corporate structure and adapt to new processes and tools
- Proven excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated skills in new thinking and best practices
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
