Job description :

- The role is to develop and implement the best practices of Academics and Research in the Institution to ensure a holistic development of the students and staff.

- The Principal is the Head of the Institute of Technology both in terms of Statutory as well as Operational functions. He / she will work to promote and develop good governance within the College compatible with and supportive of overall University governance structures and policies.

- Lead the strategic development, manage the College budget, work with academic units to represent the College to external stakeholders. Collaborate with academic units, to develop inter-College initiatives in research and teaching.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Monitoring the conduct of both administrative and academic staff in terms of their regularity, discipline, and conduct

- Maintaining student discipline and conduct, attendance, and the decorum of the institution

- Monitoring effective teaching as per the prescribed curriculum and as per the teaching / institutional methodology suggested by the University / AICTE / Management.

- Ensuring compliance of all the administrative procedures which include admission, fee collection, attendance, recruitment, salary payments, purchases and procurements, accounts, and audit and any such other matter related to the administration of the college

- Monitoring all the liaisoning activities with governmental, corporate, and other academic bodies / institutions

- Monitoring the conduct of meetings on behalf of the institution which include the meetings of staff, HODs, Coordinators, College Academic Council, and the Governing Council

- Procurement and purchase of the necessary infrastructure like furniture & fittings, lab equipment, books and any such other requirement for the institution as per the prescribed procedures

- Facilitating audit and inspections of the institution conducted by the regulator bodies such as AICTE, government, and university apart from the ones conducted by the top management

- Maintaining the infrastructure of the institution with the help of concerned staff and protecting the life and property of all those connected with the institution

- Maintaining cordial relations with the staff, students, parents, and with all those connected to the institution both directly and indirectly

- Developing a strong association with industry, research and consultancy establishments and signing Memorandum of Understandings aimed at improving specific strengths of the college

- Developing a strong industry support and contributing to various governmental and non-governmental agencies resources to gain long term industry association

- Ensuring maintenance of a learning/working environment free from bullying, harassment or discriminatory practices

- Presenting regular reports to the top management on budgetary accountability and issues related to academic and administration

Required Candidate profile :

- Should have a PHD in Engineering from premier Institutions

- 10 to 12 years of experience in reputed Engineering College with at least 5 years of experience as Principal or in administration

- Experience in stakeholder management for Industry Academia initiatives advantageous

- Exposure to Statutory Guidelines of AICTE, UGC, JNTUK

- Good Track record of driving academic performance, admissions, and campus placements

- Dynamic and Enthusiastic with proven Leadership skills

- Having a good connect in market/ industry.

- Able to pull market expertise for lectures

- Play active role in placements

- Should be aware of improving trends in engineering courses world wide.

- To set SOP for standardizing education in the college.
