Bharatiya Vidyapeeth is currently looking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to work with the prestigious institute. Bharatiya Vidyapeeth is a deemed University recognized for its academic excellence and is a service driven institute providing quality education in different fields of knowledge.

Job Overview

To provide operational HR advice for a range of HR activities and to undertake all duties in accordance with College requirements, best practices, policies, and procedures. The Human Resources manager will need to provide a full range of guidance and advice to all staff concerning key employment issues such as recruitment and selection, pay and restructuring, employee relations such as disciplinary investigations, grievances and dismissal, learning and development, employee benefits and absence management. He / she will also be working to strategically plan valuable HR policy changes and subsequently take action to implement them.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide advice, guidance, coaching and support to staff and coordinate the activities of staff that support the HR process

- Advise management on HR matters and represent and contribute to committee meetings

- Manage employee related matters such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance management, attendance, redundancy, redeployment.

- Promote and support the Policies and Procedures and to maintain accurate personnel records within appropriate level of security and confidentiality

- To implement, review and revise HR service standards' and propose improvements to ensure the highest quality service

- To manage and control expenditure within agreed budgets

- Develop and continually update the Staff Handbook, Code of Conduct and HR policies

- Continually provide in house training to employees on company policies, people management, and current employment legislation

- Direct all process of recruitment, on-boarding, appraisal management, compensation and benefits management, dismissal process, grievance redressal, employee engagement and general HR policies and procedures

- Work to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees

- Facilitate, support, and coach the team in execution of people initiatives, conflict management and resolve queries requiring business knowledge.

- Administer and monitor important review milestones for all employees to ensure implementation of HR procedures.

- Maintain the Human Resources Information System and keep all employee records updated which includes personal records, leave updation, appraisal matters and anything else related to the employee

- Administer or suggest change of benefits, health plans, retirement plans, etc.

- Monitor employee progress and stay abreast on company climate and culture, ensuring it stays positive and productive

- Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected

- Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments, discussing any problems or grievances they may have

- Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues

- Well versed with UGC guidelines/Medical /AICTE guidelines

- Well versed with pay commission working

- Good Salary negotiating skills

Qualification and competencies

- Bachelors Degree HR/MBA in related field.

- 5 to 8 years of management experience in HR or HR Generalist role

- Experience working in an educational institute will be an added advantage

- Comfortable working in a highly visible role

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

- Honest, approachable, ethical, and dependable

- Experienced in conflict resolution processes and negotiations, contract management and vendor management

- Positive and go-getter attitude

- Expert stress management skills and ability to make important decisions under pressure

- A proven leader with strong interpersonal skills, keen to motivate and effectively educate and connect department managers and employees regarding all HR matters.

- Excellent written and verbal communication
