Country Head - International Sales - Steel (8-12 yrs)

Country Sales Head (International) - Steel

- Responsible for selling TMT Iron bars (Primary & Secondary).

- Appointing new dealers and enrolment of Engineers, Contractors.

- Payment Follow-up Channel Sales Oversee day-to-day sales, monitoring, and forecasting to better understand the market.

- Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies.

- Analyzing trends and results

- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories.

- Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products

- Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.

- Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met

- Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition.

- Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics and timely discussion with the management about future plans, hurdles and initiatives

- Formulated plans, translated products and business strategies into executable channel plans and drove implementation in the region.

- Expertise in identifying opportunities, streamlining systems leads to increase in sales revenues, exceeding targeted sales goals, developing profitable & productive business relationships building with the new prospects and existing clients.

- Ensure booking of orders as per the business plan and maintain adequate order funnel. Sales to booking ratio to be achieved as per plan

- Co-ordinate with Manufacturing Unit/ Supply Chain team for ensuring sufficient inventory in the system to avoid stock out.

- To establish robust sales and delivery process to reach the customer.

- Key performance measures being quality of data captured, number of distributor visits, increase in app adoption, Net Promoter Score etc

- Ensuring after sales service to the consumer, managing consumer complaints, ensuring relevant installation team with the distributors to serve the customer.

- To have comprehensive understanding of the sales value chain and maintain profitability.

Qualification And Experience:

1. Graduate & MBA with 8-12 years of experience in selling the TMT Steel. The incumbent should be proficient with Steel sales and have a good understanding of the Steel Market In Africa.

2. Capable of working independently and self driven

3. Strong exposure to sales of Steel Products

4. Ability to work in a matrix environment

5. Proven track record of team handling experience nationally

6. Proven ability to scale up businesses from x to 10x

7. Well-connected within the local market and display impeccable local market understanding

8. Experience independently building, pursuing and closing a large pipeline of leads

9. Technologically Savvy - ability to learn what is needed to support deal's successful implementation and optimization

10. Excellent networking skills with a proven ability to develop long-lasting relationships with customers

11. Ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service

12. A solid understanding of budgeting and business planning is essential

13. Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.

14. Understanding and sensitivity towards cultural differences
