Country Financial Controller - CA (10-12 yrs)

- Manage accounting and finance function

- Domestic and overseas accounts payable & related tax, bank and other compliances

- Asset accounting & depreciation

- Accounts receivable

- Payroll

- Treasury/banking

- Budgeting

- US GAAP audit & reporting, local GAAP audit & reporting, statutory/tax reporting, Manage Tax

- Business tax viz., Service Tax, Sales Tax (VAT),

- Transfer Pricing

- Corporate Tax, return filing, tax assessments

- Periodic ‘intelligent’ management information reporting to various stake holders

- Business support and enable decision making

- Implement and properly apply US GAAP and effectively work with external audit firm

- Ensure adherence to and assist in implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures

- Develop and maintain effective internal controls related to the Company’s accounting and financial systems

- Establish procedures that ensure timely and effective month end closes and accurate submission of financial results to Corporate headquarters as part of global consolidation process

- Identify ways to promote efficiency within the financial reporting systems and processes

- Assess and lead skill development of accounting staff

Skills:

- 10 – 12 years of experience in corporate accounting environment

- Chartered Accountant

- Prior experience with Big 4 audit firm (Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG or Price Waterhouse Coopers) will be helpful

- Prior experience with a multinational company (US parent company will be a plus)

- Must have strong technical accounting background (IGAAP & Tax)

- Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and or IFRS would be very beneficial

- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and legal requirements

- Prior experience in managing tax assessments and litigation will be helpful

- Fully Computer literate in Microsoft Windows/Office, advanced knowledge in Excel

- Proven ability to mentor and develop the team

- Sound planning and organizational skills, with an emphasis on continual process improvement, benchmarking and best practices

- Attention to detail, self-motivated and ability to work under pressure

- Honesty and integrity of the highest order

Prior experience with ERP systems and consolidation software such as Hyperion is beneficial
