Country Finance Controller & Company Secretary - Mfg/Auto (10-15 yrs)
Corporate Accounting, Governance & Treasury
- Timely closing, consolidation and statutory auditing of accounts.
- Ensuring correct accounting impact of IFRS and iGAAP.
- Providing strategic financial direction to business units.
- Coordinating with the business financial controllers to ensure synergies for maximizing efficiency of treasury functions including funds management and currency hedging.
- Ensuring FEMA related compliance's.
- Ensuring timely financial support for various projects.
- Effectively develop and manage relations with Bankers and Auditors for ensuring smooth operations.
Taxation - Direct and Indirect :
- To ensure appropriate financial standards and compliance to all statutory requirements regarding direct and indirect taxes. Also to ensure timely tax assessments and submissions.
- Monitor changes in Tax legislation e.g. proposed Goods and Service Tax, determine and oversee implementation of any necessary changes to the operation
Secretarial and Others :
- Company Secretary for the company
- Review and liaise insurance needs of the company including developing and managing relations with insurance companies and brokers/consultants.
- Assist with new ventures and due diligence for acquisition activities.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS) with over 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills necessary.
- Ability to gain commercial awareness of Company and its businesses.
- Possess understanding of what is best practice for systems, controls and processes, and ability to implement.
- Possess strong technical expertise and in depth and wide reaching knowledge of Direct and Indirect tax.
- Ability to develop and maintain broad (and international) contact base on all aspects of finance and Indirect tax, ensuring appropriate channels are available to allow swift resolution of issues.
- Ability to build strong Internal & external working relationships at all levels.
