Country BD Manager - Digital Media/eCommerce

Looking to hire an Country Business Development Manager in Karachi- Pakistan and Colombo- Sri Lanka and Dhaka- Bangladesh.

Is in the business of Online Classifieds where we operate a marketplace for Individuals to buy and sell products and services locally in their country. We offer the platform for buyers and sellers to meet online whereas the transaction between them takes place offline. We hire in country local teams in key markets with the objective of being close to our customers, help derive local insights for our product and drive local marketing initiatives efficiently and effectively. We require the In- Country teams to have an in-depth understanding of the local market and thorough knowledge of the Ecommerce and Classifieds business, with an ability to grow the market effectively.

Requirements:

The ideal background would incorporate the following skills and expertise

- 10 – 116 years professional experience in Business development, Marketing and Sales management, with an Internet/ Digital Media/ E-Commerce Industry.

- Excellent understanding of all aspects of offline and online marketing. Should have executed successful campaigns in both areas

- Preferably an understanding of Internet Product Needs and positioning

- Strong relationships within the advertising and technology spaces in the region

- Experience in building strategic partnerships and track record of growing a market is preferred

- Ability to motivate global multi-locational teams to produce quality output within tight timeframes and simultaneously manages several projects

- Passionate about Internet and Technology and comfortable in a start up environment

- Ability to work under ambiguity, Entrepreneurial Nature with a Can-Do Attitude

- Experience in strategic planning and execution

- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

- Strong networker in the Internet and Advertising industry and a confident commercial decision maker

- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and open to frequent local/ international travel

Educational Background

- MBA (in Marketing) and preferably an Engineer
