Cost Accountant - Consumer Durable (5-7 yrs)
One of the top Consumer Durable brands, is looking for Cost Accountant at Hosur plant (responsibility of multiple plants).
Expectation from this role :
A key role, helping the business by tracking and optimizing the cost. Has the task of developing cost standards for various overheads, design & implement cost accounting systems, analyse the production cost and recommend changes.
Responsibilities :
- Analysing production costs and recommending changes.
- Preparing and analysing the Bill of Materials.
- Developing cost standards for materials and labour
- Designing and implementing cost accounting systems. Performing month/quarter-end cost accounting closure.
- Analysing and review of margin analysis, variance with various stakeholders like Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Marketing team.
- Preparation, report and track
- Profit margins
- Cost forecasts
- The hourly rate and trend analysis
- Direct labour, material and other factory overheads.
- Lead the cost auditing in all the plants. Support on Internal and Statutory audit.
- Ensure that cost is correctly booked as per the cost centre and has uniform system across the group.
- Perform inventory valuation. Drive inventory auditing. Inventory provision.
- Lead the physical verification of assets, its reconciliation and capitalisation.
- Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis
- Drive cost reduction projects
- Cost estimation for new projects
Qualifications :
- Qualified ICWA/CMA or CA with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Cost accounting with manufacturing set-up.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Takes initiatives
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- System knowledge - SAP, Excel
