Corporate Strategy Role - Telecom/ISP

Our client is a leading Indian multinational and one of the very few global leaders in its field. A high-tech manufacturing company in the process sector with a large telecom footprint, they have now moved aggressively into upstream product and solution development within the industry. The company is one of the key players who will contribute substantially to the Digital India and Smart City initiatives and is looking at a period of rapid growth through both expansions and acquisitions on a global scale. Present in over 40 countries with close to half their revenue coming from global markets, they are building a uniquely successful organisation that is taking on global giants - and winning.

- To strengthen the strategy and analytics, the company is seeking to hire a professional for the Corporate Strategy team.

- Your primary responsibilities will be to develop strategy at a corporate level that is aligned with business goals of the company and effectively manage analytics for growth opportunities.

Key tasks will include :

- Participate in long term strategic development

- Study global trends, industry sector, markets, and competition to develop corporate, business and functional strategies

- Identify new business development opportunities by collaborating with the industry experts

- Identify the strategic projects based on the Organization strategy and develop the implementation plan

- Develop M&A strategy and implement the M&A target selection framework

- Monitor the progress of the strategic projects and suggest corrective measures

- Support to develop performance dashboards to track the progress of the Customer Units and Functions against the defined metrics and program charters.

Key requirements for this role :

- Ability to manage key top management stakeholders

- Business Acumen

- Industry thought leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Prior experience of managing strategy consulting projects in telecommunication industry will be an advantage

- Ability to lead projects independently

- Should understand macro business environment, trends, and competition.

Your Profile :

- Ideally an Engineering graduate with an MBA from a reputed business school.

- You should have 4-8 years of relevant experience, preferably at a global consulting firm with a structured approach.

- A strong background in analytics, with hands-on exposure to business strategy at the consulting level is essential.

- We are looking at an effective communicator who has interacted extensively with top/senior management and can co-opt senior level executives in improving efficiency while pursuing the organisation's goals.
