Key Accountabilities:

- Project Delivery: Accurately execute on clearly defined analysis, build clear, well laid out slides with guidance, communicate quantitative findings in a clear and concise way, both verbally and in writing; independently identify a problem, generate alternatives or potential solutions, and evaluate and choose between these; own and manage databases

- Business Knowledge: basic awareness of capital markets products, FinTech, retail banking, payments and wealth management; understanding of trends in the banking industry and their implications on Barclays' business lines/functions and strategic agenda

- Team Development: a collaborative spirit, contributing to team output; develop and manage own curriculum to improve skill sets

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:

- Stakeholder Management: support client relationships, collaborate with stakeholders across businesses and functions, and offer help to other team members; Work as part of a team that advises Group ExCo Executives and the Board in making informed decisions on the most pressing business challenges and opportunities facing Barclays

Decision Making and Problem Solving:

- Problem solving and creative thinking: someone who can handle ambiguity and develop well thought out hypotheses, break down complex problems into manageable components and solve in a systematic, consistent, and logical way

- Leadership: someone who is a quick learner, and can support in delivery of project modules with guidance, interface with and engage stakeholders to generate solutions and ideas for future work

- Technical expertise: fluency using our preferred analytical and communication tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. with outstanding written and verbal communication to be able to deliver exemplary output, confidently, accurately and in a timely manner

Risk and Control Objective:

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

- Post Graduate, ideally with an MBA Degree from top tier institutions

- 1-2 years of relevant experience in either:

- Top tier Strategy Consulting Firm

- Strategy divisions of Management Consulting Firm

- Relevant team (Group Strategy or Investment Banking) in a bulge bracket bank

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:

- Basic knowledge of capital markets products, fintech, retail banking, payments and wealth management .

- Familiarity with emerging trends and disruptive business models in financial markets

- Basic knowledge of regulatory trends in financial services
