We have been retained by a reputed and professionally managed Indian FMCG Conglomerate of Rs. 26,000 Crores for the recruitment of a Corporate Manager-Safety (EHS) for their Corporate Office at Indore.

Position: Corporate Manager - Safety

Organization: Ruchi Soya Industries Limited

Locations: Indore

Reporting to: Corporate Head - EHS and Security

BACKGROUND TO THE POSITION

The “Corporate Manager - Safety” will be responsible for – enforcement of safety & environmental policy and procedures at all units to ensure good performance of unit EHS and KRA’s are accomplished.

Key Accountabilities:

Assisting Head EHS and Security in performing the daily activities to ensure monthly/qtly/yrly targets. Performance monitoring & ensure KRA’s are accomplished.

Competencies

Functional:

Explicit responsibility for ensuring that effective safety management is implemented in all units by ensuring that minimum safety requirements are in place and respected.

To achieve Safety,Health & Environment related objectives through system establishment & continuous audits.

a) Bimonthly safety audits of Hub Units & yrly audits of depots.

b) Closer of observation points of audits & CEHS Audit report within agreed timeline with units without repetition of same unsafe condition in same

c) Implementation of safety procedures at Hub Units as per CEHS guidelines.

d) Time to time high light statutory compliances reqd.at unit level & follow up with units for its implementation.

e) Managing of Safety Team at Units.

f) Ensuring timely communication of all safety issues to CEHS & timely providing necessary reports as per need.

g) Document control

h) Providing training in units as per training schedule during the visit to the units.

i) Celebrations & Campaigns

j) Fire drill & mock drill-organizing 6 nos.fire drill & mock drills at Units.

k) To ensure availability of PPE & Emergency Safety Equipments

l) Accident free environment & awareness to be provided to the units.

- To ensure timely closure of observation points from audit report

- To resolve the problem reported by any Safety incharge, if he is unable to resolve the issue, same should be reported immediately to Corporate Head EHS and Security.

- Being available 24 hours a day, seven days a week if the situation demands.

- To appoint and conduct training and drill time to time as required.

- To conduct meeting with department heads and to discuss about the anomalies in the system and remedies to remove them.

Candidate’s Profile:

- Science Graduate with Diploma in Fire & Safety

- Should have knowledge of SAP and computers

- Minimum 10-12 yrs experience in Corporate Safety

- Ideal age group will be between 30-40 yrs.

- Candidate from edible oil industry will be preferred.

- Salary will be attractive and not a constraint for the right candidate.
